On a comparison site the brand catches the eye, but the category, gearbox and fuel are what shape your rental. Here is how to choose a car suited to your trip in Morocco, then the brand and model.

Manual or automatic

Manual gearboxes remain very common in Moroccan rental fleets. If you only drive automatics, filter the search on automatic from the start rather than finding out at the counter.

Diesel, petrol or electric

Diesel is common on rental cars meant for long trips. Electric models are arriving in some fleets: check charging options along your route before booking.

The brands you often see

Several carmakers assemble cars in Morocco, notably Renault and Dacia in Tangier and Casablanca, and Stellantis in Kenitra. Many of these brands are therefore found in fleets, alongside Korean, Japanese and German brands. The brands page lists the brands and models sold in Morocco, and shows for each the cars available right now from verified agencies.

Comparing two cars

  1. Compare the full price, not only the daily rate.
  2. Look at the included insurance and the deposit.
  3. Check the number of seats and the boot size.
  4. Read the year and mileage when they are shown.
