DriveGo works in the browser, with nothing to download. You can also install it on your phone's home screen: it then opens like an app, faster, and can send you reminders.
Why install the app
- It opens in one tap from the home screen.
- It enables sign-in with Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint.
- It receives notifications: booking confirmation, pickup and return reminders.
- For agency employees, inspections work even without signal.
On Android
- Open DriveGo in Chrome.
- When the "Install" invitation appears, tap Install.
- Otherwise, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
On iPhone
- Open DriveGo in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Signing in with Face ID or fingerprint
DriveGo uses passkeys, a standard called WebAuthn. After a booking or from Settings, Security, the app offers to turn on biometric sign-in. Your phone checks your face or fingerprint, and the biometric data never leaves your device: DriveGo only receives a public key, never your fingerprint or an image of your face.
If you change phones, remove the old key in Settings, Security, and turn it on again on the new one.
Turning on notifications
The app offers notifications at the right moment, for example after your first confirmed booking. You choose the categories you want in settings and can turn them off at any time. A test notification is sent once only, to check everything works.
What is stored on the phone
Display preferences, language and, for employees, inspections waiting to upload are stored on the device. Details are on the cookies and local storage page and in the privacy policy.
To get started, open the app.
